Apple’s app store policies have long been a point of contention for developers, with some arguing that they are too restrictive. One area that has been particularly contentious is the issue of game emulators. Emulators are apps that allow you to play games from other consoles on your device. In the past, Apple has removed emulators from the App Store, but it seems like things might be changing.

A new emulator called Delta has recently been approved for the App Store. Delta can play games from various Nintendo consoles, including the NES, SNES, and GBA. This is a significant development, as it suggests that Apple may be more open to allowing emulators on the App Store in the future.
The developer of Delta, Testut Tech, also created an alternative app store called AltStore PAL to distribute Delta in the EU, where Apple’s App Store guidelines don’t apply. This suggests that Testut Tech was prepared for the possibility that Apple would reject Delta from the App Store.
It is still unknown whether Apple will allow Delta to remain on the App Store long-term. However, the fact that it was approved in the first place is a positive sign for gamers who want to play classic games on their iPhones and iPads.
